Hello, everyone! This is my first post in my first blog. I've enjoyed reading the previous posts. Chapter 1 is such an awesome beginning for the Bible. The focus of the creation account seems not to be the creation itself as we are only given an incredibly condensed outline with the bare facts. The focus is on God! God (repeated 32 times in Chapter 1) created, said, saw, called, made, etc. His power, authority and creativity are so impressive in this opening chapter. What God commands will come to pass. Catching up to the account of Noah, what stands out to me is that God provided the only way to be saved, the ark, just as He has provided the only way to be saved in our time through Jesus Christ. Noah was obedient to God's instructions and chose to trust God by faith. This is a perfect example of how relevant the O.T. is to us today.

  1. Hi Sandy, Good to have you join in the "conversation". Isn't it remarkable how the OT points so consistently and thoroughly to Jesus!
