I read through CH 4 this evening, and what strikes me is the speed at which the corruption of man is accomplished. Satan works his deceit and everything in Creation is altered. Immediately, we see disobedience, pride, rebellion, fear/unbelief, anger, jealousy, murder, idolatry, cruelty and bigamy. And throughout, our gracious God is there in the background, working His plan and moving men's hearts back to Himself.
